Most memorials for terror victims or fallen soldiers are created from rock or metal by a commissioned artist. These memorial tapestries were made by families to remember their loved ones who were murdered by terrorists.
Each square represents a person who has been murdered. The squares have been joined together into 16 tapestries. These tapestries formed the walls of an enormous sukkah in Jerusalem.
Over 160 families participated in the Sukkah project, embroidering, painting, or sewing squares in memory of their loved ones who were murdered by terrorists.
